Don't let the dust settle!

Whew! It's a new year and we're already into the second month! Gotta keep these blog gears rolling!

We had small group tonight (which I love). We finished the last chapter of Lisa Bevere's Fight Like A Girl. Lisa wrote on the subject of how we're always being watched. Our group discussed the different types of people who are watching, whether it be a non-Christian hoping for you to fail and give him another reason to shun Christianity or be it an admirer hoping for your victory and looking to be just like you. Rather than being paranoid (Why are you so paranoid Abbie?) we as Christians should view this as being an opportunity to lean on Christ and focus on being like Him. Attempting to "succeed" by the world's standards or please other people will only lead to failure and stress.

So what about you? Do you feel watched? Is it a burden that leaves you filled with guilt or an opportunity that gives you the feeling of reaching the potential God has given you? Look to do His work instead of choking out your day with your own selfish priorities. Keep your eyes open for miracles.

Opa!
